Korea’s Hard Rock Cafés go live with TW Audio

KOREA: New Hard Rock Café venues located in the South Korean cities of Busan and Seoul have recently been outfitted with TW Audio loudspeaker solutions. Both of the systems were designed and installed by Korean systems integrator, Star Systems, with the goal of introducing ‘high-end sound quality’ into the venues.

The Hard Rock Café in the capital is situated inside the new Lotte World Mall and boasts panoramic views across the city and Lake Seokchon. Catering to both background and live music, audio coverage at this location is provided by four TW Audio M12 cabinets flown above the stage and six M8 multipurpose cabinets for additional fills. Four B18 18-inch subwoofers stacked in pairs on either side of the stage provide the low-end, while two C12 coaxial stage monitors provide foldback. Amplification is from four Powersoft K3DSPs plus a single Lab.gruppen unit.

The other Hard Rock Café, in Busan, is situated a short distance away from the city’s well-known beaches. The Café offers 1,584 sq-m of space with seating for approximately 320 diners, live music entertainment and an outdoor terrace. Catering to the audio in this venue are four TW Audio T24N 12-inch cabinets flown above the stage, four B15 subwoofers hidden discretely underneath the stage and six C12 stage monitors. Power is from Lab.gruppen amplifiers.
