WORLD: French loudspeaker manufacturer, L-Acoustics, has opened three new facilities dedicated to production, logistics and carpentry. The company is expanding its manufacturing capacity to meet market demand as a result of experiencing double digit growth over the last decade.
‘With the rapid worldwide adoption of reference products like K2, L-Acoustics has been blessed with phenomenal growth,’ enthused Stéphane Ecalle, director of marketing at L-Acoustics. ‘The expansion of our logistics and production facilities will allow us to grow in lockstep with the increasing demand.’
The new logistics facility is located close to the company’s headquarters in Marcoussis and has been operational since early 2015. At 8,200 sq-m, it will reportedly expand capacity by 300 per cent. Also located in Marcoussis is a new production facility that boasts 3,000 sq-m of floor space, ‘fully-dedicated to the manufacturer of L-Acoustics systems’. The company headquarters previously housed both the production and business teams but will now be dedicated business operations and R&D.
Lastly, its carpentry subsidiary based in Strasbourg will double in size following the opening of a new 5,000 sq-m purpose-built carpentry and paint factory. The facility is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2015.
