Living Room Café comes alive with Martin Audio

JAPAN: Living Room Café by e-plus, a 'New York-style' venue based in Tokyo's Shibuya district, is aiming to breath new life into its nightly performances with the addition of a Martin Audio sound system. A venue whose stated purpose is to promote artists and support the music industry, the largest live café in the province therefore required a high-quality audio solution to provide coverage for the Main Zone, Main Bar, Terrace Room, Terrace, Private Rooms, Living Space, Patio and Dining Zone.
‘Living Room Café by e-plus provides a new live entertainment, restaurant and art complex for all types of customers – it is nothing like any of the other existing live and concert venues. Aside from the regular eating and drinks costs we levy two additional pounds as a music fee — and all these tips are passed to the artists who perform at the show,’ explained Ms Oharada of e-plus. ‘This place also provides a chance to take a look at the actual art displayed in the café, giving customers the chance to purchase their favourite. Living Room eplus wants to become the place where all customers and artists feel close in a casual environment.’
Adapted for the first time as a main system for the installation sector, the Live Zone is dominated by Martin Audio DD12 and PSX enclosures. Elsewhere, Martin Audio XD12s and DD6s provide additional coverage throughout all the other areas.
