INDIA: Gujarat-based sound company, Charlie Beatf, has recently invested in Mackie STM series speakers to help cater to future growth. The equipment was purchased through Mackie’s Indian distributor, Sonotone.
Charlie Beatf is the brainchild of Heeran Patel, a respected sound engineer who has been serving the industry for the last 10 years. The company reports that it has been steadily gaining traction on the local festival scene and plans to put the new equipment to use for more events. Not limited to festivals, the added inventory will also give the company the opportunity to tackle smaller events. The purchase included six Mackie SRM450v3 loudspeakers that will mainly be used for monitoring.
‘The Mackie SRM450 is the most widely-used portable loudspeaker ever,’ explained Mr Patel, of his reasons for selecting the monitor. ‘Its unparalleled ease-of-use, professional sound quality and indestructible portability has made it a live sound legend in the world. The third-generation is beyond powerful and provides an array of modern features making it the easiest to use and best sounding SRM ever. It’s the all-new, and more affordable, SRM, so we had only one option and went for it.’
