Mackie and Dynatech lead A.C.I.D to success

INDIA: Having recently added a new private party area called A.C.I.D at Mumbai-based gaming and entertainment hub SMAAASH, systems integrator Integrated System Design (ISD) has outfitted the space with a new Mackie and Dynatech audio system. Supplied by Dev Electronics and supported by Mackie and Dynatech distributor, Sonotone Electronics, the system installed needed to power A.C.I.D’s ‘high-energy’ blend of EDM, hip-hop, house, pop and Indian music.

The main system at A.C.I.D comprises Mackie SRM550 portable active loudspeakers deployed alongside Dynatech HP-8A active cabinets. Low-end reinforcement is from custom made passive subwoofers fitted with P.Audio drivers and powered by Dynatech V4000 amplifiers. According to the installers, each of the individual speakers was positioned to provide optimum coverage of the space, and the whole system is managed and controlled through a Dynatech DPA260.

Following the installation, the SMAAASH management credits the new audio system with helping to make the venue a ‘unanimous crowd favourite’.

‘We’re elated with the response and love that A.C.I.D has garnered from the crowd here,’ shared a member of the A.C.I.D management. ‘So many people have complimented us saying that they absolutely love the music and the sound. The vibe at A.C.I.D is truly unique, and we thank the guys at ISD who’ve done a great job with the technical installation, and everyone else who has played a key role in bringing the place together.’
