INDIA: Mackie’s Indian distributor, Sonotone, has revealed that the manufacturer’s MR8 Mk3 monitors and FreePlay Personal PA were in use in the production monitoring facility during the recent season of Voice of Punjab. The systems provided the show’s production staff with audio monitoring capabilities and were supplied by New Delhi-based reputed rental company Dhawan Stage Craft, which in turn had acquired the equipment from Mackie’s regional dealer, Decibel Pro Systems.
Voice of Punjab is a musical competition and reality show that is broadcast in India on PTC Punjabi. The recent season was the show’s seventh and was won by 19-year old Amarjit Singh.
‘We’re extremely proud to know that the Mackie MR8 Mk3 along with the Mackie Freeplay forms the most critical infrastructure of the audio production monitoring process for PTC’s Voice of Punjab,’ enthused Vishal Sancheti of Decibel Pro Systems. ‘These are world-class audio products that deliver great quality sound and performance. Sources within the production house confirm that the Mackie products streamlined the process of audio production monitoring, and that the sound engineer in charge of the show absolutely loves the excellent quality sonic reproduction of both the monitors and the FreePlay.’
