THAILAND: Mahajak Development was recently engaged to install audio and stage lighting solutions in the Alive Park Hall, based in the Zpell at the Future Park Rangsit shopping mall. The systems integrator worked on the project in collaboration with the mall’s owner, Rangsit Plaza Co, which was managed by the latter’s managing director, Pimpaka Wanglee.

The Alive Park Hall is a large multipurpose facility with a ceiling height ranging from 12m to 18m in height. It was designed to hold concerts and exhibitions as well as a variety of other types of performance. The project brief called for a fixed PA system to provide background music and enable public announcements alongside an audio and lighting system that can be easily deployed for music performances.

A regional partner of Harman, Mahajak supplied a sound system combining JBL, Crown, Soundcraft and BSS products. For the fixed installation, JBL SCS12 speakers were hung from the ceiling to provide even distribution throughout the venue, powered by amplifiers from the Crown XLS DriveCore Series.

Meanwhile, the portable equipment comprises JBL STX series loudspeakers with Crown MA series amplifiers. A Soundcraft SI Expression 3 32-channel digital mixer has been installed for processing, as has a BSS digital signal processor that serves as an equaliser and controls the system.

On the lighting side, Martin’s Mac 350 Entour moving LED profile fixtures were supplied. In addition, Mahajak provided the truss, opting for a Global Truss product.
