Martin Audio appoints King Kong

Martin Audio has announced the appointment of King Kong as their new Business Development Director in Greater China with immediate effect

The Dah Chong Hong Ltd booth was the setting for this announcement at this year’s Palm Expo in Beijing, in which the UK loudspeaker manufacturer also unveiled the new Beatline 12 and 28 loudspeakers specifically designed for the ‘growing and maturing home entertainment karaoke market’ in China.

In his role as managing director for Guangzhou Panyu Huifeng Audio Group, King Kong has been instrumental in growing Martin Audio’s brand in the concert sound touring sector for many years. In co-operation with Huifeng Performance Equipment Company, King Kong was instrumental in creating Martin Audio’s purpose built 1,000-sq-m showroom in Guangzhou, which is the location from where the Martin Audio Business Development Centre is now based. ‘I am very proud to have been given this role by Anthony Taylor from Martin Audio,’ commented King Kong. ‘Having worked for so many years with David Bissett Powell, who has now retired, I am looking forward to working with sales director Simon Bull.’

Following on from King Kong’s comments, Mr Bull was full of praise for the company’s set up in China. ‘David was my mentor and I now have to fill his big shoes here in China,’ he freely admitted. ‘However, with the ground breaking and innovative products such as the new Multi-cellular Line Array that we have just launched and the team we have in place headed by King Kong, I can confidently see us going from strength to strength. Martin Audio listens to market demands, but tries to be as innovative as possible.’
