WORLD: UK-based manufacturer Martin Audio has announced the appointment of long-serving industry figure Robin Dibble as its new applications engineer. Mr Dibble’s arrival at the company has been described by sales director Simon Bull as ‘a reflection of the growth of the company and the need to bring in additional expertise to drive our installation business’.
A member of the Audio Engineering Society, Mr Dibble was previously head of audio engineering at London-based horse racing technical facilities specialist RaceTech, before which he was a project engineer with Glantre Engineering, based in Reading in the UK. He is also an accredited technician in the Institute of Acoustics.
Speaking of his new position, Mr Dibble commented, ‘Martin Audio not only has a fantastic reputation and product portfolio but is also at the forefront of current professional loudspeaker development and technology. Couple that with their passion for providing the best possible sound in any given environment, and the opportunity to become part of that mission was too good to resist. While the MLA range is a real game changer, there are also some fantastic new products in the pipeline. I am looking forward to these, and working with our customers, both current and future.’
Mr Bull added: ‘With the launch of the MLA Mini the timing couldn't be better, and we are delighted to be able to recruit someone with Robin’s outstanding pedigree.’
