MCOT rolls out Netia systems

THAILAND: In an effort to enhance its workflow, public radio broadcaster MCOT is set to deploy Netia radio automation and playout software suites across the region. The units will be supplied by Broadcast Communications International (BCI), Netia’s South East Asia dealer.

MCOT operates multiple international, national, district and provincial radio stations, as well as two terrestrial free-to-air television channels and two satellite television channels. Working with BCI, it is installing six stand-alone workstations running Netia software at its Bangkok facilities and another 18 systems across 18 regional sites. These will allow users to record, edit, or prepare content for broadcast and distribution.

‘Netia solutions address the requirements of today’s distributor radio broadcast operations, helping users to realise greater efficiency and flexibility in delivering content to their audiences,’ explained Colin Tan, director at BCI. ‘Netia empowers broadcasters to provide timely, compelling programming across all of its stations.’

Peter Fong, head of sales APAC at Netia, praised the company’s dealer. ‘BCI is a valuable partner for Netia in South East Asia and we’re pleased to be working with the company to support MCOT’s rollout through Thailand. Thanks to the efforts of BCI and other partners, we’re seeing increased adoption by broadcasters across Asia.’
