Media Prima selects Soundcraft for Fly FM

MALAYSIA: Malaysian media investment group, Media Prima, has purchased five Soundcraft Si Expression 2 consoles from local Harman distributor Mahajak Trio Electronic Sdn Bhd. The new desks will be used at the group’s Fly FM Radio production studio.

Outlining the reasons for selecting the Si Expression 2, Fly FM’s engineering manager, Simon Lee, offered: ‘I'm very impressed with the compact design, flexible fader configuration and built-in Lexicon processors. Its scalability makes it suitable for use in our production studios, recording suites, or for live PA.

‘The Si Expression 2 consoles also reduce cable clutter and are the right fit for modern DAWs,’ he continued. ‘The pricing is very competitive based on its features and meets our tight budget. Thanks to Mahajak Trio for providing support and training for our users. It's a Soundcraft, so we can't go wrong.’

To facilitate faster setup and configuration times, Media Prima has also invested in a Soundcraft Compact Stagebox as well as eight JBL EON610 loudspeakers that form its PA system.
