US: Midas has launched three new consoles at the InfoComm 2010 trade exhibition, which is taking place at the moment in Las Vegas.
The new launches include the XL8i and two sister consoles to the Pro6 – the Pro3 and Pro9. In addition, sister company Klark Teknik has also unveiled the DN9650 and DN9652 digital audio format and sample rate converters.
The new flagship Pro9 console features an 88-channel input count and 35 busses, while the entry level Pro3 model offers 48 inputs and 27 busses. The XL8i has meanwhile been created specifically for the lucrative theatre and house of worship markets.
‘This is the biggest multi-product launch ever for Midas and Klark Teknik,’ commented managing director John Oakley. ‘More people than ever will be able to use our products, with new consoles offering on the one hand more power and on the other lower cost entry to Midas mixing. They will also discover the versatility of our audio networking systems and how easy they are to set up and use.’
