Montarbo marks first Vietnamese success with Quang Ninh museum

VIETNAM: Italian manufacturer Elettronica Montarbo has marked its first major installation in Vietnam following the completion of a newly opened museum and library complex near to Ha Long Bay. Named Quang Ninh Museum and Library, the 1,500 sq-m complex boasts equipment drawn from the manufacturer’s Montarbo Made in Italy, Montarbo Commercial Audio and Five-O ranges, all supplied by Hanoi-based distributor NKVietnam.

The Quang Ninh Museum and Library has been attracting record visitor numbers since its official opening on October 13th. The complex was constructed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province. It comprises three areas – a special library focused on Vietnam’s past, a museum of natural sciences offering visitors a trip through the history of the province, and an auditorium for cultural performances.

Both the museum and library have been installed with Montarbo Commercial Audio systems including ceiling speakers, matrices, sound diffusers, wall-mount speakers, remote paging control, column speakers, CD and MP3 sources, powered mixers and equalisers, and power amplifiers.

Meanwhile the auditorium utilises the manufacturer’s Palco Plus line array for sound reinforcement. Front of house sound is delivered via two hangs of four RA16 two-way line array elements suspended at either side of the stage, with low-end support courtesy of ground-stacked RAB1815 cardioid bass horns. A PLM6800 processor is used for loudspeaker management while NM250A active portable cabinets are also included alongside NM250P passive versions. Two mixers have been provided in the shape of the 12-channel MC-R12FX and 16-channel MC-R16FX.

Completing the installation are Five-O PM75, 85 and 85H microphones, 160 and 160C wireless systems and a Five-O LM260 processor.
