MTC Japan now distributing Rane professional lines

JAPAN: US-based manufacturer Rane has appointed MTC Japan to represent its professional contractor products including its highly regarded Hal DSP network. The switch in distribution marks a separation between the company’s contractor range and DJ products, which will remain with Hibino Intersound.
The deal – which officially came into effect in January – follows a series of meetings between Rane’s director of sales Dean Standing and MTC managing director Yasuhiro Matsuoka, beginning at last November’s InterBEE 2013. It sees Rane join a powerful portfolio of brands including Powersoft, Adamson, Community Sound, Televic and more. The distributor also recently added Orban to its list of partners.
‘I was impressed with MTC and their staff when I first met with them at InterBEE and even more when I returned to Japan for a training session with their staff,’ commented Rane’s Dean Standing. ‘MTC and Rane have similar philosophies for offering a high level of customer service and support. We feel there is a great fit between the two companies and look forward to a bright future together.’
MTC Japan managing director Yasuhiro Matsuoka added: ‘It's a great pleasure doing business with Rane, as well as a great opportunity for us to steward their products, which synergise very well with our existing portfolio. We are now very confident of growing our profile and the profile of Rane itself within Japan’s installation sector and corporate market, particularly with the Hal system. We look forward to a successful future together.’
According to MTC Japan, training seminars are planned for the future to heighten awareness of the Hal system and other Rane contractor products within the Japanese market.
