CHINA: The Music Group has opened a new bonded warehouse facility in Zhongshan, representing part of a multi-million dollar investment in R&D and manufacturing by the owner of the Midas, Klark Teknik, Bugera and Behringer brands.
The new warehouse is intended to complement the currently under-construction Music Group City, a 3.8million sq-ft property which is due to open in 2012 housing automated manufacturing, an on-site research centre and recreational areas for employees.
Four individual warehouse locations have been consolidated to form the new 250,000 sq-ft warehouse, which opened in October boasting an advanced inventory and order management system plus modern rack systems and accelerated bar-coding capabilities. According to the Music Group, the facility is intended to ‘maximise the group's efficiency in delivering goods’.
‘We are very excited about the progress and investment we are making in our Zhongshan facilities,’ explained Music Group chairman and CEO Uli Behringer. ‘Our priority is to ensure that our customers receive the very highest quality of products and service, and these advancements will enable us to deliver that experience on an entirely new level.’
