Nexo delivers world-class audio to Villa Theresa High School

INDIA: The auditorium at Villa Theresa High School in Mumbai has been installed with a Nexo sound system as part of a recent renovation intended to transform it into a ‘world class facility’. The soundproof 500-seat theatre is reportedly suited to most performing arts productions but is also used to host video presentations, lectures, seminars and ceremonies. The equipment was installed by Just Audio and supplied by Sun Infonet.

The air-conditioned auditorium is used to host all of the school’s functions, leading to the decision to install a ‘high-end’ audio solution capable of enhancing future events. Following a demonstration, the project’s acoustic and audio consultant, Darryn Van’Drine, agreed to replace the existing sound system with a new solution from Nexo capable of providing coverage throughout the auditorium.

Two PS15R2 cabinets have been mounted to the walls on either side of the stage with two LS18 subs placed under the stage. Nexo PS15R2s have been deployed as a delay stack for the balcony and Quest QSA 300 active speakers provide on stage monitoring. The whole system receives power from a Nexo NXAMP 4X4. An Allen & Heath QU32 digital mixer with GLD-AR2412 dSnake stage box has also been installed. The mixer accepts inputs from Shure BLX wireless microphones.

Following the renovation, the principal and school management are reportedly ‘very pleased’ with the new Nexo sound system.
