OB Group unveils new Lawo-equipped OB truck

AUSTRALIA: The OB Group has announced that its brand new Lawo-equipped HD OB truck is finally operational. The truck is the result of 12 months of planning, for which ‘no expense was spared to provide the OB Group’s clients with cutting edge technology’.

The main audio router in the truck is a Lawo Nova73 HD core with various Dallis I/O boxes, and the audio routing system is connected to a mc2 56 32 fader mixing console. Dual power supplies are found on all Dallis and HD Core systems, as well as a redundant controller card.

The OB Group opted for Lawo as it was deemed to be best suited to the company’s (and its clients) needs. Flexibility was also a key factor, as demonstrated by the mc2 56’s extensive expansion options, as was the way it can interface to other OB vans.

The truck is also equipped with a Sony MVS-6000 HD vision mixer and Harris Platinum router complete with a multiviewer, an EVS XT2Plus and X-File system, a Chyron Hyper X3 HD, Sony HSC 300HD cameras, a Link Research wireless camera, various Sony VTR’s and several Solid State Logic recorders.

‘We have had various high profile jobs including various projects for Fox Sport, and we also did the Nickelodeon Slime Fest,’ commented Colin Rothenberg, managing director of the OB Group. ‘The system hasn’t missed a beat and our customers are very satisfied with the new truck.’

Professional Audio Technology supplied the Lawo equipment for the OB truck.
