Outback serves up rare audio with Apart

PHILIPPINES: The latest outlet of the Australian-themed restaurant chain Outback Steakhouse has been equipped by regional distributor Iontech with a BGM audio solution centred on Apart Audio. Based in Eastwood, a commercial and residential development in Quezon City, the new venue is the result of a relocation from a previous site on the C-5 highway.
Though outwardly themed as an Australian experience, the Outback Steakhouse chain is in fact headquartered in Tampa, Florida with over 950 locations in 23 countries throughout the world. The recently opened Philippines location required an audio system for background music that would nevertheless deliver an ‘active and upbeat environment’ with individual level controls over different zones.
The installed system comprises a total of 12 CMX20T and four CM6E ceiling loudspeakers, all distributed evenly along the ceiling of the establishment. For individual control and power, an MA200 four zone mixing amplifier not only delivers the required wattage to each ceiling speaker but also works in tandem with three wall-mounted control panels – comprising one E-VOL40 and two E-VOL60 units – providing simple but effective operation.
