Outline logo renewel increases brand appeal

WORLD: Italian loudspeaker manufacturer Outline has ‘renewed’ its logo, 40 years after its founding, with the ambition of increasing its brand appeal. The company behind the Butterfly Array is seeing the change as a development rather than a radical change.

Since the early 1970s, Outline’s logo has comprised a stylised auricle coupled to the company name. In the new design, the name has been removed, leaving only the image, in steel, set into each cabinet’s metal front grille. The change is taking place as of this quarter.

‘In our opinion, the renewed ‘ear’ has the great advantage of conferring the stylish, incisive lines of our products while maintaining a discrete look, as befits professional equipment,’ explained Outline’s Michele Noselli. ‘We believe we have succeeded in making the logo easy to recognise and remember, giving an idea of compactness, power and dynamism, with a pronounced personality.’
