Palm Expo China back on as organiser reverses decision

CHINA: Following an earlier announcement that Palm Expo China had been cancelled one month prior to opening its doors at Beijing’s CIEC, show organiser Informa Exhibitions has now reversed its position and declared that the event will take place after all. The change is reportedly due to the granting of security approval that the organiser previously believed was not forthcoming. According to the company, the approval was granted on July 19th.

Confirming that the exhibition will now proceed as originally scheduled, the organiser released an official statement, signed by the China Entertainment Technology Association, in which it expressed regret for the confusion surrounding Palm Expo China. ‘The Palm Expo Committee understands the inconvenience caused due to this unforeseen issue and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused,’ it said. ‘For the future development of the industry, we hope that we can join in our efforts to make this year’s event a success for everyone. We sincerely thank you for your support and kind understanding.’

Palm Expo China will now take place at Beijing’s old CIEC between 19th and 22nd of August.
