Parties are thumping in Hyderabad with Mackie

INDIA: A corporate executive by day, Arun Rao is hailed as a ‘distinguished performer’ by night as he unleashes his alter ego, DJ Rao. The Hyderabad-based DJ has recently purchased multiple Mackie Thump systems and the Mackie ProFX4 compact 4-channel mixing console through Indian distributor Sonotone Electronics following a surge in bookings for live events and gigs.
‘I’ve realised that audiences these days are quite particular about the quality of sound at gigs,’ said DJ Rao, who originally invested in a pair of Mackie Thump15 portable loudspeakers. ‘When I bought the Thump15 loudspeakers, people loved the music more because of the quality of sound. This is why I decided to add the Mackie Thump18S (portable subwoofer) to the setup, figuring that the added low frequency delivery would only enhance the sound, energy and overall vibe at gigs in general. And it did.
