Pragati Engineers selects BXB for Vaishno Devi

INDIA: Located between Jammu and Kashmir, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board recently requested that a BXB conference system be installed into one of its meeting rooms. Established in 1986, the Shrine Board is recognised as being one of the major pilgrim organisers in India.

In addition to being used as an administration meeting and discussion room, the 25-seat room is also open to the pilgrims. A BXB FCS flush mounted conference system was stipulated for this application, which features aluminium panels to conceal the connecting Cat-5e cables. The plan was for each microphone to be shared by two delegates and so the microphone length had to be carefully considered beforehand. A 48cm gooseneck model was proposed.

An FCS3051 conference main control unit is connected to a single FCS-3025 chairman microphone together with 12 FCS-3026 delegate units for the other 24 seats. All 13 units have been equipped with WM-48B1R 48cm gooseneck microphones. The FCS-3051 comes equipped with an LCD monitor, which automatically detects microphone connections whilst scanning the overall status and controlling the volume output. In addition, multiple conferencing operating modes such as Chairman, Override, FIFO (First In First Out) and Voice (Auto mic off) can also be clearly deduced.

Designed, supplied and installed by BXB’s Indian distributor Pragati Engineers, the project took two weeks to complete. ‘In this project, we installed FCS flush-mounted microphones as the client was impressed with its credentials having been awarded with the certificate for Taiwan Excellence,’ explained Mr Bhatnagar, president of Pragati Engineers. ‘We have specified BXB systems in other major projects and we are currently discussing terms to a potential dealer to take on BXB’s products throughout India.’
