Pro Light & Sound Guangzhou details confirmed

CHINA: Taking place from 22nd – 25th February 2017 within Exhibition Area A at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the 15th edition of Pro Light & Sound Guangzhou will showcase approximately 1,250 exhibitors across 13 halls, as well as the extended Y Channel space. The trade show will also feature a vast education programme, including the PLSG Annual Training Course and a range of forums and training seminars.
The PLSG Annual Training Course will bring together representatives from several associations and companies, such as Audinate, Riedel Communications, the Event Safety Alliance, Korean Broadcasting Equipment Industry Association, the German Association for Entertainment Technology and the Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology, on the 22nd and 23rd February. Topics covered will be: Application of Sound System and Acoustic Technology, Enhancement of Event and Stage Performance and an Introduction to Real-time and Media Networking Technology, which includes the first two levels of Dante certification.
On 22nd February, Audio Technology Forum 2017 will see local industry experts from Guangdong Television, Xinghai Concert Hall and Chengdu College of Arts and Sciences discuss fundamental recording and production theories, using the Rio Olypics as a case study to demonstrate the planning of sound production and applications of PA systems for such events.
Meanwhile, spanning the 22nd and 23rd February, the Guangzhou Recording and Multimedia Technology Forum will include conversation regarding advanced audio technology and sound production between experts from the Beijing Film Academy and Shanghai Conservatory of Music, as well as professors from several universities. Professor Dakang Li from the Communication University of China will discuss new concepts of audio restoration in 5.1 surround sound, while renowned audio engineer Duoduo Song will explore sound production.
China Mini Theatre and KTV Industry Forum 2017 occurs on the 23rd February. It has been setup in response to growing demand for karaoke systems, mini home theatres, customised installations and smart digital A/V. In particular, it will examine the prevailing trends across the karaoke and mini theatre markets.
Following the success of last year, Vision X Network returns to the PL&S Guangzhou in 2017 from 22nd – 24th February, offering the opportunity for interaction between those in the industry and providing a platform for conducting business. Dan Dugan Sound Design, Sennheiser, Taiden and TOA are among those that will be participating.
Attendees will also find a multitude of other interactive sessions and product demonstrations at the trade show, including the international and oriental outdoor line array, which will be taking place throughout the entirety of the show. Covering three demonstration areas, this will feature a dedicated area for international audio brands to showcase their outdoor line array systems, in addition to domestic manufacturers.
