WORLD: Giovanni Turrin has been named as the new chief financial officer for Italian audio, video and lighting systems manufacturer, Proel Group.
Mr Turrin’s appointment was announced by Proel Group’s president, Fabrizio Sorbi, who also stressed the corporate role of this position. The manufacturer believes that this appointment meets the guidelines set by the company that aim to concentrate certain responsibilities into the hands of a few key executives who hold strategic positions for the entire Group.
Mr Turrin began his professional career with Arthur Andersen & CO. Later, he accepted the position of comptroller for all of Stefanel's foreign subsidiaries before moving on to Roncadin, a company in the food industry, where he was the administrative and financial director. He commands extensive knowledge of all financial functions earned while working for audit companies and major industrial groups and will report directly to Massimo Signor, the company's managing director.
Proel believes Mr Turrin's entry into its senior management team adds to the company's experience and know-how and creates optimum conditions for strengthening the organisational structure and for further growth at an international level.
