Prolyte holds final rigging workshop of 2013

MALAYSIA: Prolyte recently held its final rigging training workshop of 2013 at the PAP office in Petaling Jaya. Prolyte reports that the event was ‘well received with attendees from Indonesia, Oman and Malaysia’.
The course covered basic theoretical rigging skills such as risk assessment, rigging basics, calculations, PPE (personal protective equipment), hoist technology and controllers, as well as a hands-on workshop on truss technology, followed by a test for attendees.
‘The rigging training workshop is an absolute necessity in order to bring Asian riggers to a European and American level for standards, and also to ensure that rigging is practised in a safe way,’ said a spokesperson from Prolyte.
The scheduled training and workshop dates for 2014 will be announced shortly.
