Riedel broadcasts in Bangkok on TV 5

THAILAND: Royal Thai Army Radio and Television (TV 5) has installed a system comprising Riedel Communications’ MediorNet frames. This solution will reportedly allow for more flexibility and workflow efficiency as the broadcaster distributes its content to viewers, while the manufacturer continues to gain traction within the South East Asian market.

The terrestrial free-to-air channel based in Bangkok has seen five MediorNet frames deployed, supporting the broadcast operations via the routing of audio, video and data. With Riedel’s media network being scalable, the opportunity is present for TV 5 to expand its network in the future, while the MediorNet system is described as achieving the same capabilities as multiple individual systems.

‘While the installations at industry-leading media facilities such as TV 5 are among our first in South East Asia, we anticipate that these companies' successes with Riedel equipment will lead to further adoption in the region,’ stated Cameron O'Neill, director, Asia-Pacific region, at Riedel Communications. ‘Riedel's products are quickly gaining acceptance worldwide because they are simple, cost-effective and efficient systems that deliver exceptional performance and new levels of flexibility and functionality.’
