Rising Stars perform with dLive

INDIA: Mumbai-based rental company Roshni Audiomatics recently added an Allen & Heath dLive system to its inventory, consisting of an S7000 surface and a DM64 MixRack and purchased from the manufacturer’s Indian distributor, Sun Infonet. Following delivery of the console, the rental company immediately put it to use for the live broadcast of reality television singing competition Rising Star on Colors TV.

A total of 60 outputs and 108 inputs were required during the broadcast. Prakash Ahuja, owner of Roshni Audiomatics, made the decision to deploy his company’s new Allen & Heath system as Mahesh Amberkar, sound engineer from Colors TV, had previous experience of commissioning a dLive solution to manage such an event. A pair of DX 32 racks were also added.

‘The console fulfils all the requirements needed for any live telecast show,’ stated Mr Amberkar. ‘The accuracy level and equalisation is superb. The console is mainly used for floor monitoring and was used to control the enitre floor.’

Having had the chance to put his new dLive system to the test, Mr Ahuja is impressed. ‘It gives flexibility to route-out audio, ample headroom and provides easier operation than other mixers,’ he said.
