SBS orders first Broadcast Solutions Alphaline OB van

KOREA: Broadcast Solutions GmbH has received an order for its 4K/UHD OB van from SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) due to the establishment of UHD as the television standard in South Korea. The purchase adds to the broadcaster’s existing relationship with Broadcast Solutions and its local partner, Dong Yang Digital Co.
The systems integrator will be constructing the outside broadcast van for the South Korean broadcaster using its Streamline OB van family as a foundation, reducing the delivery time by equipping a pre-engineered OB van. This will be the first van produced by Broadcast Solutions based on the German company’s Alphaline concept, building on its established Streamline design.
SBS’ van will be designed to work with up to 12 4K/UHD cameras on a 12G-SDI UHD Single Link combined with a Quad Link 3G-SDI and hybrid IP-systems.
