Sennheiser covers Kasauli Rhythm and Blues

INDIA: Sennheiser partnered with the Genesis Foundation to provide the audio for the fifth annual Kasauli Rhythm and Blues music festival.
In addition to facilitating the sound for some of India’s premier musical acts, the German manufacturer enabled audience members to watch the weekend’s T20 World Cup match in a silent screening facilitated with Sennheiser RS wireless headphones. The wireless headphones were also used for a silent karaoke contest, the winner of which received a Sennheiser ClipMic digital microphone.
‘Sennheiser is proud to have associated with the Genesis Foundation,’ said Kapil Gulati, director of Sennheiser’s consumer segment. The three-day festival helps to ‘raise funds for critically ill children’, Mr Gulati explained.
In a bid to raise further funds, Sennheiser auctioned off Farhan Akhtar’s SKM 2000 microphone. To promote the previous year’s MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination), the Bollywood star’s microphone had been specifically redesigned to incorporate the MARD moustache.
Featuring a range of musical acts, the festival included Delhi-based rock band, The Local Train, winners of the inaugural Sennheiser Top 50, a contest held in 2015 by Sennheiser to discover India’s upcoming bands.
