CHINA: Sennheiser recently lent its support for the 12th Annual Foreign Correspondents’ Club Charity Ball, held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The event was organised to raise funds for children’s causes across Hong Kong, and included a performance from Huey Lewis & the News.
As part of Sennheiser’s sponsorship, the production team provided audio set up and light in the foyer area. For this, a K-array audio system was used featuring K402, K202 and K102 speakers.
The Sennheiser table seated John Lee, CEO of Tom Lee Music, Mario Bernardo from Bernardo Entertainment Production and Chris Fish from Digital Media Technology.
‘It's been a wonderful evening,’ said John Lee, CEO of Tom Lee Music. ‘I have not gone to functions like this in a long time. I think it is very commendable what everyone’s doing to raise money for children’s charities and I think more organisations should get involved. Everybody should play a part in contributing to the community. Being in the music business for the last four decades myself, I believe that music truly plays a part in every civilization and I think today’s band was perfect for this ball and the audience.’
Within a ‘Sennheiser experiential area’, guests were able to try out the brand’s Momentum headphones, a number of which were sold to raise money for the FCC charity fund. Sennheiser also gave away HD800/HDVD800 and HD700/HDVA600 sets to winners of a business card lucky draw.
‘Sennheiser has been fortunate to be a part of this charity event,’ added Marc Vincent, president of Sennheiser, Greater China. ‘We are contributing to the future of children from underprivileged families in Hong Kong and it’s truly an honour to be a part of it.’
