Seoul’s Record Factory favours Eve Audio

KOREA: The Record Factory Music Academy has been installed with Eve Audio monitors in the main control room at its Dream Campus studios. Located in downtown Seoul, the facility provides state-of-the-art, hands-on music production education to local students. Having recently opened the Dream Campus facility, one of the largest private music production facilities in South Korea, the manufacturer’s 5-inch speakers were the chosen monitoring solution.
The Dream Campus studio has a large control room with SC307 and SC205 set up alongside an SSL AWS924 console. Four individual, acoustically treated recording booths are built around it along with four teaching labs, each fully-equipped for EDM, DJ, computer music production and sound engineering lessons.
‘Among the 5-inch studio monitors I’ve listened to, SC205 has the most neutral and natural character,’ explained Record Factory CEO, Jonghee Park. ‘While most mid/small sized monitoring speakers often colour the sound or boost lows and highs like hi-fi speakers, SC205 delivers an impressive, natural, well-balanced and transparent sound. That’s what a monitor is supposed to do. Additionally, I like the very natural position of each instrument and the speakers lack of ear fatigue after long monitoring sessions.’
