THAILAND: Bangkok’s Sikarin Hospital, located in the city’s Bang Na District, has been outfitted with Bosch fire and voice alarm systems to cater to its newly-expanded needs. Having recently constructed a 14-storey third building, the hospital now has 235 beds for inpatients and the ability to handle 2,800 outpatients in addition to 24-hour emergency services. Smart Home Systems Co Ltd was awarded the contract to design and install a comprehensive security solution in the new Building 3. It devised a security solution that can be centrally monitored based on video surveillance systems, fire detection, evacuation voice alarms and access control systems from Bosch.
A Plena voice alarm system with 153 speakers was installed for the hospital’s public address announcements and background music. For the fire alarm system, an FPA 5000 fire alarm control panel with 336 FCP-O320 optical smoke detectors were installed monitoring the presence of smoke or fire. The system reportedly alerts the hospital security officer of the exact location of the fire so that he can immediately address the situation.
To provide video surveillance of the premises, 59 Bosch Flexidome IP indoor cameras and 26 IP Bullet cameras were inside the building and along its perimeter.
The project was secured by AllAhead Co Ltd thanks in part to Bosch’s reputation in the sector, states the manufacturer, as well as the installer’s ability to implement the project and provide after-sales services and training.
