Soundus hosts myMix seminars in Busan and Seoul

SOUTH KOREA: Soundus recently hosted stage monitor mixing technical seminars in Busan and Seoul. The venue in Busan was a church, where myMix systems were installed for worship bands, whist the Daelim University concert hall was utilised for the seminar in Seoul.

More than 90 people attended the two seminars, and were mostly comprised of live and church sound engineers. The seminars covered a range of topics, including the challenges that engineers deal with on a day-to-day basis.

The main session was presented by monitor and FOH engineering ‘veteran’ Yong-un Jeong, who covered the challenges of stage volume and sound, along with the various solutions that stage monitor systems offer. Mr Jeong shared his expertise of using various monitor systems such as wedges, side-fills and in-ear systems, and then moved on to discussing the benefits of using a monitoring system, particularly myMix.

Attendees were able to get hands on with myMix, and later on Mr Park, the Soundus brand manager for myMix, talked participants through a demo where they were encouraged to try out the monitor system’s different functions. The break out sessions were said to be a particular success, encouraging a ‘flurry of questions and discussions about how myMix can be utilised in all kinds of different applications’.
