Spiider spins a web of light in SEA

SINGAPORE: Expo AV-InSync has become the first rental and technical production company in South East Asia to invest in Robe’s Spiider LED wash beam fixtures. The Singapore-based rental company serves the entire APAC region, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia in addition to its homeland and approximately 70 per cent of its work is in the MICE sector.

The purchase adds Expo AV-InSync’s inventory of more than 200 Robe fixtures. The roster includes MMX Spots, Pointes and LEDWash 600+s, and it was the rental company’s satisfaction with the quality of the latter that encouraged the purchase of 36 Spiiders. The timing was right, as Robe released its newest LED wash beam fixtures at around the time Expo AV-InSync decided to add to its stock.

‘As soon as we knew it was coming out we knew we had to have them,’ recalled Gerard Rodrigues of Expo AV-InSync. ‘It’s super bright, great quality and you have the 60W LED beam in the centre, so it’s very versatile.’

The rental company has been using Robe solutions since its inception and part of the reason for this is reportedly due to the after sales service received from the Robe Asia Pacific team and the manufacturer’s distributor, Lighting & Sound Distribution. ‘LSD’s commitment to service has been top notch over the years and that was a big reason for us to keep working closely with anything and everything Robe,’ concluded Mr Rodrigues.
