Splice Studiosz invests in BigKnob monitor controls

INDIA: Based in Mumbai, Splice Studiosz is a postproduction facility that specialises in online and offline editing, VFX, colour correction and CG, as well as sound for film and television commercials. On the sound side, its work includes recording and dubbing and to assist with this, Mackie BigKnob Monitor control units have been purchased from the manufacturer’s Indian distributor, Sonotone, serving all production rooms, including the principal control room.
‘The Mackie BigKnob actually turned out to be the perfect solution to our requirement for a compact and efficient monitor control unit,’ said Ajay Tiwari, owner of Splice Studiosz. ‘Offering almost every feature that a large format console does in an extremely compact footprint, the BigKnob does the same work with increased efficiency, simplified workflow and minimum effort.
‘That apart, it looks good, and is amazingly responsive – the level controls are precise, there’s abundant source selection and a great amount of outputs to choose from, which makes it the perfect piece of gear, especially since we’re working on a bunch of different projects at the same time,’ he continued. ‘We liked it so much, that we’ve invested into multiple units for all the production rooms at our studio facility.’
