MALAYSIA: Cense Media Sdn Bhd recently established Kupi-Kupi FM to broadcast to the Sabahan communities. Operated by a young Sabahan team, the radio station transmits Sabahan songs and stories from its two studios in Kota Kinabalu. These studios – one of which is the main studio, the other serving as back-up – are fully-equipped with audio solutions provded by Stagetec Asia.
Both studios have DHD Audio 52/SX mixers while a Zenon Media solution has been installed as the radio automation system. A range of Sonifex equipment, including a digital hybrid dual line telephone, stereo profanity delay, digital source selector, six-way digital distribution amp and silence detector has also been deployed.
‘We are glad to have Advon Tan and his team from Stagetec Asia provide their technical expertise, in addition to supplying the DHD digital audio mixer and other equipment,’ said Fui K Soong, CEO of Kupi-Kupi FM. ‘The first on-air broadcast went well and there have been no glitches during the on-air sessions.’
‘It is such an honour to be a part of Kupi-Kupi FM operations,’ added Mr Tan, sales director at Stagetec Asia. ‘We would like to thank Kupi-Kupi FM's management for having the trust in us to deliver the technical system and support.’
