STM goes live in Shanghai

CHINA: The first Nexo STM system to be deployed in Shanghai has been installed at the new V Livehouse on Huaihai Dong Lu. Owned by KTV brand VShow, the V Livehouse marks the company’s first foray intolive music. The French manufacturer’s Shanghai dealer, Shanghai Haoyun Audio-Visual Equipments, supplied the system together with its Chinese distributor Top Plot International. Nexo’s sales and technical team also provided support.
The venue now features a FOH system formed of three per-side M28 ‘omni’ cabinets fitted with 120° flanges because of the relatively short throw required. Below the STM clusters are four LS18 subwoofers for low-end. A pair of PS10-R2s provide frontfill coverage, while the outer edges of the room are covered by a further four PS15-R2s. On stage, two more PS10-R2s are used as infill monitors, installed in the ceiling in front of the stage and facing down towards it at an angle. Drummers have their own NEXO PS10-R2/LS600 monitor system.
The entire system is driven from the manufacturer’s NXAMP4x4s and NXAMP4x1 powered TDControllers. A Yamaha QL5 digital console has been installed at FOH for mixing.
