KOREA: A Nexo sound system was deployed to support the recent World DJ Festival in Korea. Moving to a new venue for the first time this year, the Song-Am complex stadium in Chuncheon City, regular audio service provider for the event, Way Audio, once again opted for an STM main sound system.
The event is the biggest DJ-based festival in Korea but is also now reportedly one of the biggest outdoor events in Asia. This year, the organisers welcomed 90,000 EDM fans over two days. The DJ line-up was sourced from all over the world. As well as headliner Justice, the roster included DJ Snake, Julian Jordan, Swanky Tunes, Henry Fong, Cash Cash, Dubvision and Paul Mayson.
The Way Audio team erected two main arrays of 18 STM M46 main elements and 18 STM B112 bass cabinets per side. A further 16 S118 subbass units were flown behind each main array. Stage monitoring was delivered by STM groundstacks, each comprising an S118 sub with three STM M28 cabinets on top. Fourteen PS15 cabinets provided front-fill, while a DiGiCo SD10 console was deployed at front of house for mixing.
