Storm FX named reseller for Genelec in Australia

AUSTRALIA: Broadcasting and postproduction specialist Storm FX has been appointed as a reseller for Genelec monitors in a new partnership with distributor Studio Connections.
Based in New South Wales, Storm FX is widely regarded as a market leading supplier to the 3D animation, film, broadcast, post production and gaming industries. The new agreement gives the company access to Genelec’s award-winning 6000 and 8000 series two-way loudspeakers, and 5000 and 7000 series subwoofers.
The company’s managing director, Martin Leibowitz, has called the deal a ‘strong move for us at Storm FX as we have recently launched our ‘Smoke on the Mac’ demonstration room as part of our new Technical Services Division and now can add a high quality reference monitor to add value to our product range’.
Equally pleased with the agreement is Deborah Sloss, managing director of Studio Connections. ‘We are very happy to be partnered with Storm FX Distributions,’ she commented. ‘Given the highly regarded reputation and strong standing of Storm FX in the postproduction market, we are confident this partnership will create new and exciting opportunities for Genelec.’
