Summer NAMM to host three-day TEC Tracks training programme

WORLD: Debuting at this year’s Summer NAMM in Nashville is a three-day series of educational sessions for the audio, production and recordings markets. TEC Tracks will feature three full days of master classes, live interviews and panel discussions on topics including optimising studios and recording live shows.

‘The new TEC Tracks offerings add even more value to Summer NAMM's robust educational programming,’ said Joe Lamond, NAMM president and CEO. ‘We've heard from many of our members, both retailers and manufacturers, that this is one of the fastest growing segments of the market. NAMM members who attend these sessions will be better equipped to seize these opportunities.’

Sessions will be led by some of Nashville’s pro audio legends, including Chuck Ainlay, producer and engineer for Taylor Swift and The Dixie Chicks, who will present a session titled Studio Master Class: Quality Sound. Mastering engineer Glenn Meadows will also be exploring audio file formats and how they affect sound in Understand Audio Formats, while a Studio Operators Panel session will draw local studio owners, operators and entrepreneurs to discuss the current state of recording.

Additional highlights include Easy Live Recording, Home and Project Studio Acoustics and a panel discussion with female audio and sound industry veterans.

TEC Tracks will open on Saturday 11 July with a keynote on The Future of Audio: Harnessing the Power of Musical Instruments and New Technology, presented by Microsoft. Also on the Saturday, A3E (Advanced Audio + Applications Exchange) will present a full-day programme on the future of audio including The Future of Studio Technology, The Future of Live Performance and The Future of Guitar Technology.
