Sun Infonet hosts workshops with Allen & Heath

INDIA: Sun Infonet, while showcasing a range of Allen & Heath’s mixers on its booth at Palm Expo, conducted a workshop alongside the manufacturer inside the event’s training hall. Allen & Heath’s pro digital sector specialist, Scott Mason; its live and studio sector specialist, Harry Garcia; and business development manager, Kai Springer, were on hand at the Delhi-based distributor’s booth to answer questions regarding the manufacturer’s new consoles.

The workshop was run by Mr Mason and Mr Garcia, while attendees comprised sound engineers and technicians from a range of industries. Participants were taught of the features and various I/O options available on GLD, Qu and dLive mixers, as well as given hands-on experience with the consoles. As well as providing an overview of the consoles’ features and compatibility, the latest firmware updates were explored alongside multitrack recording capabilities, availability of offline editors and remote apps, and interconnecting mixers with Dante. ‘The workshop was indeed informative and useful,’ enthused freelance A/V consultant and sound engineer, Andrew Samraj, after the seminar.

Later that same day, another seminar was held by Sun Infonet at the Mumbai offices of Sound & Light Professionals (SNL Pro). At this second workshop, Mr Mason introduced invited guests to the features of the dLive mixer in further detail. Topics included an overview of the console’s features and flexible architecture, as well as detailing functionality such as XCVI processing and FPGA technology, audio networking, multitrack playback and recording with Dante, digital FOH and monitor split, deep processing, effects processing and EQ filtering, and remote and online editing.

‘On the one hand, this seminar provided us a platform to share our experiences,’ explained Prashant Rane, sound engineer and owner of rental company Rane Brothers, which was recently among the first to invest in a dLive system from Sun Infonet. ‘On the other hand, it provided us the opportunity to learn the updated features that have been added to the mixer since our purchase.’

‘Sun Infonet and Allen & Heath are committed to providing the latest technology, prompt customer service and up to date knowledge,’ said Sun Infonet director of operations, Neeraj Chandra. ‘These kinds of workshops are very useful and recommended for every sound aficionado.’

In addition to the recent sale of a dLive system to Rane Brothers, Sun Infonet has also confirmed that Audio Design has made purchase of the console. Meanwhile, Romi Sound has invested in a pair of GLD-112 mixers. ‘Allen & Heath digital mixers are some of the best mixers in their price range and as a result, Sun Infonet has seen sales grow by 35 per cent in comparison to the last fiscal year,’ noted Hemant Gaba, Sun Infonet’s marketing manager.
