Sun Infonet increases A&H adoption in India

INDIA: Supplied by distributor Sun Infonet, Allen & Heath’s dLive system has again been called into action in India. The latest outing saw a dLive S7000 deployed to handle the Rayban stage at Goa’s Sunburn Festival. Furthermore, Romi Sound, which recently purchased a GLD-112 from the Delhi-based distributor, has used it to cover a gala event at Zirakpur, Punjab in celebration of the birthday of Gurdas Mann, a renowned figure in the world of Punjabi Music.
Taking place across four days, Sunburn Festival is Goa’s largest electronic music festival, and has been touring the country since 2007. This year, around 100,000 gathered at the Rayban Stage, where NJ Sound handled mixing on the dLive. NJ Sound engineer, Mr Sanchit, reported being very happy operating the console, praising the desk’s ‘ability to choose from different types of compressors on every channel, as well as Graphic EQs available on every output bus and 16 available effects racks’.
In Punjab, the GLD-112 purchased by Romi Sound has now enjoyed several outings with the company. The recent gala event covered by Romi Sound was attended by approximately 1,500 people.
Deepak Bassi, sound engineer and Romi Sound partner, who covered this event commented that ‘since we have invested in the GLD-112, our style of working has changed, we feel that we can spread music to every corner of the venue and can cover all the artists' needs with the desk’s user-friendly operation.’
