Sushil John to head up QSC SAARC business
Published: ASIA
INDIA: QSC Audio has appointed industry veteran Sushil John to manage all of its sales and support activities within the SAARC region (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan). Taking the title of country head, Mr John will be based in Bangalore. The appointment follows the recent establishment of a new QSC head office in Hong Kong serving the Asian Pacific region.
Describing himself as ‘excited’ at the prospect of his new role, Mr John is a welcome addition to QSC’s Asian staff and a well-known figure within the regional industry. A qualified power electronics engineer, he was most recently employed as Harman Professional’s country head for India – a position that he held for almost six years. Prior to his time with Harman he was director of operations at EVI Audio India (now Bosch Communications), where he built EVI's network of channel partners within the country.
In his new role Mr John will report to Asian Pacific sales manager David Fuller, while his responsibilities will include visiting dealers, contractors and consultants throughout the territory, while acting as a liaison between the field and QSC Audio in regards to product development, large-scale sales opportunities, and marketing issues including trade shows and advertising. He will also work closely with QSC Audio’s distributor Pro Visual Audio, whose head office is located in Chennai.
‘I am excited to be working with such a great team of people,’ Mr John commented following the announcement. ‘QSC Audio is a solutions based company that has earned its merits based on its brand value and design philosophy. My appointment comes at a perfect time in India as there are huge developments taking place in the country’s growing infrastructure. QSC’s evolving speaker range and Q-Sys DSP technologies are best-of-category products to fulfil the needs of the consultants and SIs who are involved with these projects.’
