AUSTRALIA: Following a two year absence, Michael Sloss, a director of Syntec International, has re-entered the market as a director of the newly formed Synchronised Technology Pty Ltd. The company is now trading at the new Sydney office in French’s Forest, supplying products and technologies to the professional broadcasting and A/V sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Initially incepted in 1970 by renowned figure Clive Sloss and then purchased by son Robert Sloss in 1989, the experienced import and distribution company was almost synonymous with the Sennheiser brand up till the business was sold to Sennheiser in 2013 and then established as the Australian subsidiary in September 2013.
Continuing on in the family tradition, managing director Michael Sloss has taken on the challenge of establishing Synchronised Technologies Pty Ltd for a new era. ‘With the benefit of the experience gained we are well positioned moving forward with the new company,’ he commented. ‘We are now in a position to continue on with our representation for key global brands across both Australia and New Zealand. The company will not only be able to serve its own customers with expertise and excellent service, but it will also be able to extend this to the end-users of our distribution partner’s products.’
Having already agreed terms with Fostex, specifically for its recording equipment and speaker componentry, HeadsUp and Rycote, Michael Sloss has now revealed that Synchronised Technology Pty Ltd has taken on distribution for beyerdynamic’s catalogue of consumer headphones and professional headsets. New South Wales-based Hills continue to distribute the German manufacturer’s range of conferencing, wireless and wired microphone solutions. beyerdynamic’s Singapore-based Asia sales and marketing manager Kamal Mahtani confirmed the appointment of Synchronised Technologies Pty Ltd. ‘I have always been impressed with Syntec. They retain a wealth of experience with great customer contacts in the professional headphones business throughout Australia and New Zealand. This new agreement presents a great opportunity for both companies and I am certain that it will provide us with a presence that beyerdynamic deserves in this region.’
