Takenaka Audio expands into pro audio with Nexo

JAPAN: The audio division of Japan’s visual event planning and production specialist Takenaka Corporation is expanding into pro audio with Nexo GEO S12 line arrays following a year of planning under industry veteran and chief operator Satoshi Ouchi.

A major figure within the Japanese professional audio community for more than three decades, Mr Ouchi has attributed the decision to the system’s ‘high product quality and reliability coupled with expandability’. He has also purchased Nexo NXAMP 4X4 powered TD controllers to power the GEO S12 arrays alongside an open-format Yamaha M7CL-48 console to facilitate the later use of EtherSound networking. Mr Ouchi added that the line array’s ‘cost/performance ratio is also outstanding’.

The news follows another high profile GEO S12 purchase in the shape of Hamamatsu city’s Madowaku live venue, which recently upgraded its house system with the Nexo boxes.

In addition to the S12 arrays, powered by NXAMP 4X4 powered TD controllers, two CD18 subwoofers have been installed within the venue for use on each side of the stage to allow for both rock music and dance events.
