Televic makes the meeting

ISRAEL: WA Minkoff Senate Hall at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is used for the institute’s largest and most important meetings and conferences. With its annual Senate meeting on the horizon, the Be’er Sheva-based university chose to upgrade its conference system to ensure better clarity for speaking and listening alike. With a tight deadline of 10 weeks to install the new solutions, Televic and its local partner, Barkai, accepted the challenge.
In addition to the time restrictions imposed by the upcoming meeting, because this project was to replace an old system, further challenges were presented in that the new solutions provided needed to be custom fit to the existing furniture and desks. The 10-week project therefore had to incorporate custom design and prototype approval, production, shipment and commissioning.
Televic delivered 67 custom Confidea Flushmount DD (F-DD) delegate discussion panels, tailored to fit the existing cnference tables. They are powered by a Plixus Audio Engine and managed with CoCon Discussion software. The manufacturer also had to take the room’s conical architecture into account, as it posed potential intelligibility issues. The Confidea F-DD systems presented no such problems, however, and the annual Senate meeting was reportedly a success.
