Thai PBS purchases 60 Audemat DVB-T2s

THAILAND: Following the sale of nearly 80 Audemat DVB-T2 monitoring platforms to Channel 5 in Thailand, Worldcast Systems has announced the sale of 60 DVB-T2s to the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS). The broadcaster plans to use the monitors to analyse the signal and transport stream of the DVB-T signal 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The new system will reportedly also allow a central operator to closely monitor everything that happens at each of the broadcaster’s remote transmission sites.
According to the manufacturer, using Audemat’s ScriptEasy software package allows the engineers to view customised displays showing the status of broadcasts at all locations and be notified immediately if any parameters fall out of tolerance.
A DVB-T2 platform will be located at each of the 39 regional transmitter sites, with several additional units retained for ad-hoc requirements and spares.
