The PA People bolsters mic and IEM inventory
AUSTRALIA: Sydney-based The PA People has upgraded its inventory of Shure radio microphones and in-ear monitors. Having used the manufacturer’s original UHF U Series since the 2000 Olympics, the PA People has further invested in UHF R Series radio microphone products and now has available eight channels of Shure PSM 1000 IEM transmitters and more than 32 PSM 1000 packs.
‘Clearly a lot of things have changed in radio mics and IEMs over the past 15 years, and with the advent of the digital dividend it was time to update,’ explained Tim Jenkins, technical account manager with the event communications team at The PA People. ‘This investment in a top-tier IEM product complements the significant inventory we have in our own ‘Level 2’ IEM product. It means we can provide quality in-ear monitor systems for headline talent as well as hundreds of packs for mass cast at an event – all within the appropriate bands.’
The PA People has also acquired new antenna distribution and splitting systems from Shure and specialist supplier, RF Venue. Following the company’s recent Shure Axient and PSM 1000 installations at Sydney Opera House, it has also become a reseller of RF Venue products. ‘We really like the Diversity Fin, CP Beam, and RF Spotlight antennas from RF Venue. The PA People is known for our expertise in RF systems engineering, and it is great to find a company who obviously shares that commitment in the design of their products,’ commented Chris Dodds, MD at The PA People. ‘Each of the products in the range provides quality, cost effective solutions to creating high performance RF systems for radio mics and in-ear monitors.’
