The PA People helps ACMA spread the message

AUSTRALIA: The PA People has installed a videowall at the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) Pyrmont office in Sydney. ACMA is the country’s broadcasting, internet and communications regulator. The wall is used to disseminate important ACMA messages to visitors in the form of presentations fed from a networked PC.

The installed solution is a three by three panel videowall, formed from nine Samsung UD46D 46-inch displays. Working in conjunction with the builder, the video wall has been designed to stand out from its surroundings with a black bevelled edge, while the brackets and wiring have been concealed behind the displays with enough room for ventilation. The wall also utilises a power saving mode that automatically switches it on and off at the beginning and end of each day.

‘It’s always a challenge to align a videowall precisely. Even more so to make it flush with a built surround,’ explained The PA People project manager, Josh Jones. ‘A measure of finesse was required in the design and coordination of the installation to build it within the millimetre. Working with the builder in this regard was a simple and straightforward affair. The result is tremendous.’
