Timbre confirms A-T as its microphone of choice
SINGAPORE: The music lifestyle group, Timbre, has once again selected Audio-Technica as its microphone brand of choice for all six of its Singapore outlets. Following a successful five-year relationship with the audio manufacturer, the group made the decision to renew the partnership.
‘Timbre Group is delighted to be working with Audio-Technica and taking our partnership with them to a whole new level in 2016,’ enthused Timbre Group’s co-founder and chief creative director, Danny Loong. ‘We look forward to creating new content and discovering talent through this collaboration, with a shared goal of supporting and pushing the boundaries of the Singapore music scene.’
The relationship between the two companies encompasses more than just the selection of microphones. Over the past couple of years both organisations have reportedly been working hand-in-hand to build up the local music scene in Singapore, and both Timbre and Switch Live music venues across the city have been installed with A-T's flagship Artist Elite microphones to support this aim. One key focus moving forward is reportedly to expand the Timbre Music Academy into a fully-fledged recording studio and to equip it with Audio-Technica’s top-of-the-line microphones.
‘We started our partnership with Timbre in 2011 and have never looked back,’ offered Audio-Technica (S.E.A.) regional sales manager, Teng Shaokai. ‘The common vision towards music keeps our directions aligned. At Audio-Technica, we believe in heightening our connection to the world through sound, a connection that strengthens communication and brings people together.
